Sensing as a Service

With this first option the distribution power operators can acquire the sensor and computing hardware along with the data platform with them can be hosted in a public cloud provider such as AWS, in a non-maintained server provider,  or in the same client local servers.

The client then pays only a small fee to ALTERIA for the assistance but pays all the cloud expenses on their own. This option provides lower cost for operators having their own cloud service.

With this second option the distribution system operators acquire pay the hardware units such as sensors and edge computers to ALTERIA.

The data platform is paid under a contract (Client- ALTERIA) of software as a service (SaaS) that includes all the fees and expenses generated, by the storage and post-processing of the data at the selected server site.

With this third option the distribution system operators are not acquiring the hardware but entering a contract of sensing as a service where the DSO pays a monthly service fee for all.

That includes the rental of the hardware and the Software as a Service described before in the second option.

This third option is the best for operators that are not willing to buy assets in the process of monitoring substations.
